Annie Malee (Star, Producer, Writer)
Newcomer Annie Malee is the writer and producer of Abandonment, co-starring with Richard Dreyfuss. This is her first foray into the entertainment world.
Malee is an entrepreneur and mathematician who started a company which harnesses the firepower of Artificial Intelligence, and uses it for good. The AI models built by her company are now being used to help people across the world tackle the hardest problems on the planet, including infectious disease, child poverty, and global destruction.
Malee used the profits from her AI company to start a charity foundation which supports causes ranging from Alzheimer’s to human rights to education. And she launched a special charity dedicated to inspiring children to chase their dreams. Recently she decided to chase her own dream of making movies. Just a year later, she had written Abandonment and was starring opposite Richard Dreyfuss.
Malee is also a singer and songwriter and wrote and produced most of the songs on Abandonment’s cross-genre soundtrack music collection. The collection honors the Appalachian mountain setting of the film through songs that feature Appalachian musicians, traditional mountain instruments, and Native American artists. Platinum recording artists and Billboard chart-topping musicians from different genres join in for a complete musical fusion of styles and backgrounds.
